42247 7" Portable DVD Player 

  • How do I open the unit after I have removed it from the packaging?

With the Unit placed on your knee or a table top position the unit so that the silver strip that runs around the hinge is at the rear of the unit facing away from you, grip the unit at the front and open up as if you were opening a Laptop.

  • I keep getting the error message saying 'Wrong Region' on my display when I try to play a DVD disc, what does this mean?

DVD's are designed to be region specific, which means they are only designed to be played in a particular region . In the UK, DVD's are set to Region 2. You will find the region information on the back of your DVD case. Tevion DVD players are locked to Region 2 (UK & Europe). 

  • Why wont the videos on my MP4 player play on my DVD player?

The most likely cause of this is that the format of the video is not supported by the DVD player. It will only play videos in MPEG format. There are a number of free sites on the internet that offer tutorials and even free converting tools to rectify this problem.

  • When I insert a DVD into the player, I keep getting a “No Disc” message appearing on the screen, what does this mean?

It could just be that the laser eye has become dirty you could try cleaning the laser eye with a cotton swob with a little white spirit on it. Also you could try moving the laser eye as far away from the centre as possible and insert your disc then.

  • When I insert a USB/SD device it shows all the files that are on the device instead of showing me the folders, how do I change this?
To view the folders on the USB/SD device, connect the device to the DVD player then press the DVD/USB/SD key on the remote, scroll to the USB slot and press the ENTER key on the remote. When the DVD player starts to index the files press the STOP key and the list of files will be displayed then press the PROG key and this should now display the folders that are on the USB/SD device that you can navigate through using the arrow keys and the enter key.

  •  How do I charge the media player?
Plug the included USB cable to the Media player and the AC adaptor, ensure the switch is set to ON position on the media player and plug the adaptor in to a charge point.  Once plugged in you will see the screen light up and connected screen displayed.  The battery indicator will move to show the media player is charging.
  •      How do I transfer my music files to the media player?
Connect the media player to your computer via the included USB cable, the PC will recognise this as a removable drive, locate the music you wish you transfer over to the media player, select and copy into to the removable drive folder.  Once copied you can remove the USB cable and your music will now be on your media player.
  •      How do I delete music from my media player?
Connect the media player to your computer via the included USB cable, the PC will recognise this as a removable drive, open up the removable drive folder, here you will see all your music currently on the media player, simply highlight the music files you wish to delete and press delete on your keyboard.  Once finished unplug from computer.
  •       How do I play my music?
Switch on the media player by sliding the switch to ON position, highlight the music option and press the menu button.  To play the music press the middle centre button.  To skip to next track press the forward button.
  •      Why does the media player only play a few seconds of a music track
Whilst playing a music track, press the menu button, scroll to repeat and press menu, this will be highlighted on intro mode, scroll to normal mode by pressing the right or left arrow and press menu button to confirm.
  •      How do I play my movies on the media player?
The media player is only compatible with AMV format videos, if your video files are in other formats then you will need to convert the video first using the convertor software included. Once converted use the same method to transfer the video as you did for the music.
  •      Why do I get Format Error when I try to play music?
When you sync your music using windows media player, you have to ensure the copy protect music is not enabled.  To do this simply open up windows media player and go to Tools, Options then select the Copy Music Tab and deselect the copy music protect.  Now resync your music using windows media player
  •      How can I select my albums?
Enter the music mode, ensure no music is playing, now press the menu button. Scroll to Local Folder and press Menu to enter.  Here you will see the current track you are listening to, above this will be a folder with a back slash. Scroll to the back slash and press the menu key then right arrow key immediately after, please be patient as this will now load your albums, might take some time depending on the number of albums you may have loaded.  Once you see your Albums select the album you wish to listen to and press Menu button to confirm.

  • How do I charge the MP3 player? 

Connect the USB cable to your MP3 player and to your computer. The power switch on the MP3 player should be in the OFF position.

  • When is the MP3 player fully charged?
When charging your MP3 player a small red LED light will illuminate on top of the player and a small green LED will illuminate on the bottom on the player. When the player is fully charged, the green light will change to red. Your player is now fully charged. 
  • How do I switch the power on?
Slide the main ON/OFF switch to the ON position, then press and hold the round centre button for 5-6 seconds. Repeat the same to switch the player OFF again.
  • How do I play my music?
Providing your music is in the correct format (MP3 or WMA), when you switch the player ON, the music will begin to play automatically. However, on occasion, it is necessary to press the round centre button in order to begin music playback. During music playback the LED light next to the earphone jack will flicker green. If pause if pressed the green LED will remain lit.
  • I cannot hear anything from my player?
Please ensure the volume is not muted. Simply press + button continuously to increase the volume. 
  • How do I transfer my music files to the MP3 player?

Connect the MP3 player to your computer via the included USB cable. The PC will recognise this as a removable drive. Locate the music you wish you transfer to your MP3 player, then simply copy and paste or drag and drop into to the removable drive folder.  Once copied you can remove the USB cable and your music will now be on your MP3 player.

  • How do I delete music from my MP3 player? 

Connect the MP3 player to your computer via the included USB cable. The PC will recognise this as a removable drive. Open up the removable drive folder, here you will see all of your music currently on the MP3 player. Simply highlight the music files you wish to delete and press delete on your keyboard.  Once finished disconnect from your computer.

  • Why does my music not play
Ensure the music you have copied to your MP3 player is in the correct format (MP3 or WMA). Right click the music track, then left click properties. The file type will be displayed. If syncing with windows media player, ensure the 'copy protect' is unchecked.

  • Will I lose my preset station's when I change the batteries?
When you remove the batteries from the unit the internal memory will only last for 60 seconds, so aslong as you can change the batteries within the 60 seconds you won't lose the preset channels.

 

43237 Bluetooth Car CD/MP3 Stereo

  • Why do I lose my preset stations when I turn the ignition off?
The car stereo requires a permanent live feed going into the unit to ensure that it holds it's memory while your vehicle is switched off. The memory wire is the yellow one as shown in the manual, this requires a permanent live feed from your vehicle's battery. To locate the permanent live feed you should refer to your vehicle's handbook. If you are not 100% confident with reconfiguring the wiring within your vehicle, we recommend that you consult a professional fitter.
  • My CD only goes half way in and then comes back out, why is this?
There are two big red labels on top of the unit before you install your system, you must remove the screws connected to these labels.
  • After I have installed the stereo there seems to be no power, why is this?
Check all the wiring to make sure nothing is loose and that everything is correctly wired in, also check to see if you fuse has blown(the fuses should be 10A).
  • While listening to the radio, every couple of minutes I get a distorted sound as if the radio is losing reception, why is this?
if you look at the display you should see the letters AF flashing or highlighted this means that the radio is in AF mode, to turn this off simply press the AF button on the stereo and the AF letters on the display should no longer flash or display.
  • How do I pair my phone with the stereo?
Switch on the Radio, then search for a new device on your phone. When your phone prompts for a password to be entered key in 0000 and confirm. You will now be connected to the radios Bluetooth.
  • My phone won't pair with the stereo, why is this?
Make sure that your phone's Bluetooth is switched on and make sure you have keyed in the correct password 0000.
  • My iPod/mp3 player isn’t connecting about 10 seconds after I’ve plugged it into the USB port?
Depending on the size of the player's capacity, it can take about 40 seconds for the media device to fully connect to the stereo as it needs to scan through the player.
  • I have connected the stereo to additional speakers/subwoofer and the stereo isn't playing, why is this?
The stereo will need to be connected to an amplifier before connected to any additional speakers or subwoofer, otherwise the stereo will not be able to distribute the sound across the speakers properly.
  • Is it possible to connect the stereo to my steering wheel controls?
No, the stereo doesn’t have the facility for this.

43244 Twin Screen DVD Player

  • My screens have not come on, but the power is turned on. What is the problem?
When you switch the DVD to the 'ON' position both LED's on each screen will illuminate red. To power the screens, press the power button on the main screen. Now both LED's will go off. The second screen has a standby button so you can turn this screen off whilst watching on the other screen the LED will now show red again.
  • The volume button is only working with one screen, is this a fault?
To change the volume on both screens you will need to use the remote control, the screen which has the volume dial on will only change the volume on that screen.  You can change the volume with both screens via the remote control.
  • When I put a DVD into the machine, I receive the message 'No Disk', what does this mean?
When you place a DVD into the player, you must ensure that you push down on the DVD so that it clicks into place. You will know that the DVD is inserted properly when you hear a clicking noise.
